Cd Changer
Typically available to hold as many as six or 12 compact discs at one time. CD changers usually are mounted under a seat or in a vehicle's trunk or cargo area. Some units will work with the factory head unit, while others require the installation of a new in-dash controller. They can be connected to the rest of the sound system using an interface cable or an FM modulator. Some changers include a memory buffer, for use in vehicles with a stiff suspension.
CD-grade Oil
An API performance-specification standard for diesel motor oil.
CD-R
Abbreviation for CD-Recordable. A compact disc that can be recorded on once. As opposed to CD-RW. Not all CD changers and head units with built-in CD players can read CD-R discs.
