Door Entry Guard
Designed to protect exposed paint--or sometimes carpet--in doorways. Door entry guards come in a variety of materials, from polished stainless steel to rubber, including non-skid designs. Also marketed as a door sill guard.
Door Panel
Either the exterior sheetmetal on a door or the interior trim piece that covers the metal, to which the armrest, window controls and locking mechanism typically are attached. Many interior door panels are finished in a combination of cloth and vinyl or leather. Several companies offer woodgrain door trim kits to dress up a vehicle's door panels.

A styling accessory that often is used to complement a dashboard dress-up kit. There are woodgrain door trim kits, as well as carbon fiber and stainless steel kits. Most kits attach to the door panels using special tape.
